Clinical safety and governance
CertifyMe handles sensitive health, trauma, and sexual health data. We take clinical safety seriously — and we are transparent about how we approach it.
DCB0129 Clinical Safety Standard
NHS England's DCB0129 standard sets out how health IT manufacturers must evidence clinical safety. CertifyMe is committed to developing and maintaining a Clinical Safety Case as the platform scales, including a hazard log and clinical risk management file.
UK GDPR & Special Category Data
Health data, sex life data, and sexual orientation data are classified as special category data by the ICO. CertifyMe processes this data under explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR), applying strict data minimisation, purpose limitation, and storage limitation.
Hazard identification & risk management
We maintain an active hazard log covering risks including incorrect information being shared, unauthorised access, and patient misidentification. Residual risks are documented and reviewed regularly.
Designed for NHS integration
CertifyMe is being built with awareness of NHS Digital standards, including Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) requirements and NHS login compatibility. We are committed to meeting these standards as the platform grows.
Transparent governance
We publish our clinical safety commitments openly. Our approach to patient safety, data protection, and clinical risk management is available to commissioners, procurement teams, and clinical leads on request.
Clinician-led design
CertifyMe has been developed in consultation with healthcare professionals experienced in trauma-informed care, sexual health, and gynaecology. Clinical input is embedded in product decisions.
