Built by a survivor. For every survivor.
CertifyMe is a survivor-led health technology company on a mission to transform how the healthcare system communicates with people who have experienced trauma.
Our Story
Why CertifyMe exists
CertifyMe was born from a deeply personal experience. As a survivor navigating the UK healthcare system, our founder found herself repeatedly having to disclose traumatic information — to receptionists, nurses, GPs, specialists — with no way to communicate her needs in advance.
Each retelling was re-traumatising. Each appointment was a test of endurance rather than an experience of care. And yet, the clinicians she saw genuinely wanted to help — they simply did not have the tools or information to do so effectively.
With a background in healthcare communications and digital health, she set out to build the tool she wished had existed: a secure, dignified way for people to share their healthcare needs, boundaries and preferences before appointments.
CertifyMe is that tool. And it is only the beginning.
